The Italian Spring Classic

Milan - San Remo, AKA la Primavera, is the Italian spring classic. The season opener is known most of all for the grueling distance (300 km/185 miles), the high speeds that are reached, the wide and smooth roads and the short climbs that make up the final bit of the course. The top of the Cipressa is the highest point of the race; after cresting the Poggio you'll finish on the Via Roma in San Remo.

The Race of the Falling Leaves

The Race of the Falling Leaves closes the classic cycling season. This tough race has the riders ride up some very hard climbs, innumerable hairpins and inclines up to 10%. One of the difficulties is the 8,7 kilometre / 5,4 mile long climb of Madonna del Ghisallo, the patron saint of cyclists. The course leads you along the banks of lake Como, these roads are alternated with successive short climbs and descents. The finish line is drawn in the city of Como, on the road along the lakeshore.

This ride takes in the less well known Southern ascent starting with a short descent to warm up the legs before turning back & up past the Village of Heiligenblut. Now the road twists & turns its way up past pine forest, open moorland & finally into the extremely rugged mountain terrain.

A Challenging Adventure for Every Cyclist

Climbing the Mont Ventoux (1,909m) is a challenge for well-trained riders. This legendary mountain, the 'Giant of the Provence', lies in Provence in France. The film offers two ascents. The start is at the east side of the picturesque little village of Sault. You cycle past vineyards, through woods with oak trees, pines and elms to reach the misty top via the famous lunar landscape. After a lightning fast descent, you will arrive at the ancient village of Malaucéne. The second climb starts to the west of the Mont Ventoux, with various steep sections.

The Mortirolo is one of the most feared climbs in the Tour of Italy now you can find out for yourself why this is so! Breathtaking Descents and Steep Climbs

Filmed just ahead of the world-famous cyclo sportif event called the Marmotte. This is a challenging ride with unforgettable views of the Alps, breathtaking descents and steep climbs. The 86 km course with the wooded Col du Télégraphe (1570m) and descends down to the Valloir ski resort, across the rugged Col du Galibier (2,642m), down the Col du Lautaret (2,000m), the hamlet La Grave and the dam bridge at Lac du Chambon. After the village of Les Clapier there is a long, flat road to Bourg d'Oisans, where you can pause to catch your breath. You finish this epic ride with the tough unrelenting world famous climb of Alpe-d'Huez to the finish at the mountain ski resort of the same name (1,839m).

The Argus Tour is a Fantastic Ride

Each year over 35,000 riders from all four corners of the world take part in this challenging cycling trek (110 km). The route starts in the centre of Cape Town, covers the majority of the Cape Peninsula and finishes in the Green Point Stadium just outside the city centre. The descent of Chapmans Peak drive even has fire brigade helicopter dumping water on a fire! The Argus Tour is a fantastic ride, thanks in part to the spectacular views.

You will experience the Ardennes, with tough climbs and roads that are in bad condition at times. You will, of course, get to ride up La Redoute, one of the steepest climbs.
